Spirit Bear at Film Fest

The Great Bear Rainforest is the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest in the world. At 6.4 million hectares in size, it is larger than Switzerland, it has a dense web of natural life including towering ancient trees, grizzly bears, wolves, eagles, and streams that are the spawning ground for a fifth of the world’s wild salmon. It is the traditional territory of First Nations who have lived in the rainforest for thousands of years. It is also the home of the rare Kermode bear, also called the Spirit Bear.
